Field Trip to Explorium

Madeline's school had a field trip today to the Explorium in Lexington. We had a really wonderful time! They had a model of a river with running water which had a Lock and a Dam on it. Madeline bragged about her Daddy working on one of those. There was a bubble room - and Madeline made the biggest bubbles ever, which I tried very hard to get a picture of, but invariably the bubbles popped before the picture snapped. Another room was dark, and a light flashed - then you could see your shadow on the wall, so Madeline and I made silly poses and laughed. All of the Moms were cringing b/c there was a lighted mirror that you looked into and it showed where you had damaged skin from the sun. The kid's faces looked pink and the Mom's faces looked purple. It was great to take the day off and spend time with her!

The little girl that Madeline is hugging on in the pictures is Kennedy, one of her little buddies that she went to Martha's with. It is amazing how much those girls still love each other! We'll see what happens as they grow, but so far Martha's girls seem to be friends for life :-)

We don't have a lot planned for the rest of the week-end - I think it is going to rain!
