Soccer Practice

Rebecca requested some pictures of Madeline playing soccer - so here are a few from her practice tonight. She's been having a lot of fun, and took great delight in actually kicking the ball around. One of the pictures is of her cheering after she made a goal! We start games in about a week and a half, so we'll see how the girls do in that environment. They did actually seem to know which goal to kick toward today at least :-) My goodness the girls are cute - the first picture is most of her team (there are 8 girls on each team) on the sidelines.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter today. Nicole stayed all night with us last night, so both Nicole and Madeline had fun Easter Baskets this morning. We had fun playing with all of the little games that the Easter Bunny brought. We also went to a lunch at Johnny & Jeanine's house, and had a lot of fun, especially because Mom and Dad came too. Madeline had a lot of fun participating in an egg hunt. We did not make it to church, for which I have no good excuse. I was happy however, that Madeline named her new Webkin "Mary" because she was Jesus Mom and "he rose from the dead today". We thank God today for all of our many blessings, including all of our friends and family who read our blog. :-)

He is Risen!

John 20:29

Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

Soccer Begins!

It's official, I'm a soccer Mom. Madeline started soccer today - and she loved it! She of course had to buy a pink ball, and she said she wants to play every day. She did great for a first day - could run and kick the ball well, had no idea which way to go. The coaches kept having all the girls point together at the goal they were going for. Too funny!

Relaxing

Madeline loves to color and draw - tonight she got herself all set up, then made an announcement that she "did not intend to get up until this work is done." That one gave me a chuckle!

Dad came over for dinner tonight, and we had a good time enjoying the Nascar race with him. A good time was had by all!

Movies We've Loved

Today Madeline and I went to see Horton Hears a Who! We loved it! One of the main themes was that you can believe in things even though you can't see them or feel them. Madeline immediately said "like God!" It is a wonderful thing when going to see a movie gives an opportunity to discuss faith. Do not hesitate to see this one!

Another one that I loved (being a lover of the occasional romantic movie) was Enchanted. We loved it so much that we pre-ordered it, so we'll be getting it soon! Too cute!

Fun in the Snow!

A Big Snow!

Here's Madeline's Post:

We got a big now - it's pretty, and white, and falls softly, and looks like a blanket on the ground. It's really really cold, but really really fun, and I'm going to play in it. I'm going to run, and build a snow man, and slide down on the sled, make a snow angel, and that's all.

Better go, Ciao!

Have fun in the snow - I'll post more pictures later. :-)

Sophia's Christening

While Madeline and I are excited about the impending snow (see today's other post), we are sad that we are missing Little Sophia's Christening. We love her so much, and send her all of our love and good wishes. Happily, we'll be able to travel to her home soon, and we can't wait!

The Snow is Coming!

Madeline and I are very excited about this week-end because it is snowing!!! It is predicted that we will have the biggest snowstorm this area has had in 10 years. While I never trust the weather man, it has been snowing already - the picture is our back deck at about 7:00 pm. Apparently it is going to snow all night tonight and accumulate to 8 to 13 inches :-) If it does, we plan a big snowman, sledding, and other snow fun. Check back tomorrow night for pictures!

9:00 pm update.... the road is covered, we've had a good inch and a half since I last posted :-)
