Bowling Green

We spent a wonderful week-end in Bowling Green. It's funny, I always think that I have to do something huge to have a special time, but it's not necessary. Mostly we just swam in the hotel pool, but we had a great time just being together. These are the moments that we live for ....

Art Projects

Madeline has really been working her creative side this summer :-) Her guitar prompted a night of air guitar, and the birds have enjoyed their feeder!

Girl Scouts

Madeline has enjoyed Girls Scouts so much! I love it because it promotes good values and good friends. I did it as a girl, and have great memories from my activities - we are also blessed to have a great troop leader. I've spent as much time as I can volunteering to help, so I get to share in a bit of the memories :-)

Summer Time

Wow I'm so behind! I think this is the longest I've ever gone without blogging! We're having a great summer... more time at the lake, more time with family, more time at the pool, fun overall! It's so much fun having an 8 year old - less time spent directing behavior, more time just relaxing together. Mom & Dad's cabin has been a real blessing for us - there is just something immensely peaceful about sitting among the trees on the porch or looking out at the lake from the pontoon.
